Never forgotten

 

World war two, World war two was the biggest war in history if you add all the dead from every other war the numbers will not match world war two had the highest death toll. World war two was about the germans want more land,power and nobody that was different. At the start of the war the  biggest countries fight were Canada,russia and the united kingdom. The germans were very advanced in the fight planes the made the first jet engined plane. Then the bombing of pearl harbour wich brought the united states into the war. The germans made a huge mistake attacking the western front and the eastern front at once wich made it impossible to win the war. The germans were fighting at both line that they were spread to thin in troops wich lead to the turning point in the war. Russia and england started getting closer and started to bomb berlin. Soon the Russians were fighting on the streets of berlin and the Germans finally surrendered. Japan said we are not germany we will not surrender a few days later the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima the next day one was dropped on Nagasaki, the war was over.

The Science of Ecosystems

This week we have been starting our first science unit,In this unit we are learning about ecosystems.

In ecosystems you must have abiotic and biotic elements. When we make trails in the bush, that we don’t use again grass will start to grow back this is ecological succession. The biotic things in the ecosystem might be a micro-organism. Some organisms might live in the in the atmosphere in some levels this is called biosphere.

Then the plants also use a process called photosynthesis to get the most sunlight in which they turn the sun light into sugar then take in CO2 which then creates oxygen for us to breath. An ecosystem needs scavengers to eat  corpses examples of this is a raven and a vulture. But there are also decomposers which break down the corpses. Finally there is bio-accumulation which is when toxins from mine tailings causes a bad change in the ecosystem.

Underground Miracle

On August 5th 33 miners went down into the mine just like they would on a normal day of work but this was no normal day of work when the tunnels above them collapsed they became trapped, Their shift boss lead them to the lunchroom. The lunch room was stocked with two days of food the shift boss made the food last for 17 days. During those days the mining company declared that they were bankrupt so the Chilean government took over and started drilling to find the miners. One of the drills went straight through were the miners were so they painted the drill red. That is when a camp started to form the big drills came and started drilling for the miners. They said it would take till Christmas but it didn’t it took till the middle of October. Oakley sunglasses donated 33 pairs of sunglasses for the miners to were when they came since the sun would hurt their bare eyes. leave your comments on the mine rescue in chile.

What The Web is For

Last week in school we read this thing on what the web is for. We had to make dioramas,trioramas,models on what we use the web for. What I think the web is for is just for fun,music global and Google earth.

I think the web is for fun  because then you can play on Xboxlive listen to music watch videos. With out the web people would have more fun outside but then if its raining well you have nothing to do but with the web you can game,listen to music,blog. I Know that when I am board I go on the web and play games.

I the web is for global because then you get to learn about other countries. I like to learn about other country because you get to learn about the flags,food religion,culture,where they are in the world and see what the population is. It’s nice to have global because i like to learn about countries and different cultures.

I use the web for Google earth because then you can see what living conditions are like in other countries. I know last week we were looking at places in Asia Africa and North America. I noticed that living conditions in North America were the best then Asia were worse and Africa was the worst. So Google Earth give people the best idea of what living conditions are in different places.

Finally I think the web is for music. I use the web for music because if I go to you tube i get the video and stuff and I just watch there.I usually jut listen to the parody version of the real version. the parody are funny because the make fun of the real music video ha ha.

This is my thing the musical notes represent music since music is one of the things I use the web for. The blue flag with the white star stands for global because you get to learn about different countries, this country is Somalia. The circle with the x is the Xbox symbol that stands for fun because you are having fun when you play Xbox live. The blue and red flag stands for google earth because you get to learn about counties living conditions, that is the Haitian flag.
